Is Marvel Rivals on Switch?

So, you're wondering if you can jump into the action of Marvel Rivals on your Nintendo Switch? I get it. The idea of playing this awesome new hero shooter on the go is super exciting. I remember when the first trailers dropped, I immediately searched to see if a Switch version was announced, ready to pre-order it on the spot.
Unfortunately, I’ve got some bad news for all you Nintendo fans out there. No, Marvel Rivals is not currently available on the Nintendo Switch. Right now, the game is only out on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. I was pretty bummed out when I heard this, as I was really looking forward to playing it on my Switch during my commute.
Why Isn't Marvel Rivals on Switch?
So, what's the deal? Why is the Switch being left out of the fun? Well, the developers at NetEase Games have said that they haven't received a development kit for the rumored "Switch 2" from Nintendo. This means they can't even start working on a version for Nintendo's next console, let alone the current one. It seems like they are looking towards the future, but that doesn't help us right now.
I was scrolling through Reddit the other day and saw a whole thread of people just as disappointed as I am. We were all sharing our hopes for a surprise announcement, but it looks like we'll have to wait. It's a real shame, as the Switch has a huge player base that would love to get their hands on a game like this.
The good news is that the door isn't completely closed. The developers have expressed interest in bringing the game to Nintendo's next console. So, while we can't play it on our current Switch, there's a chance we'll see it on the "Switch 2" whenever that comes out. Fingers crossed, right?
