Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a fresh take on the classic Pokémon formula, and it's packed with new and old Pokémon to catch. If you're a fan of the adorable penguin Pokémon, Piplup, you're in luck! This guide will tell you exactly where to find Piplup in the vast Hisui region.

You can find Piplup in the Cobalt Coastlands, near a pond at Islespy Shore. To get there, you'll need to have unlocked the Basculegion mount to cross the water. While some say you can reach the area with Wyrdeer, I found it much easier to use Basculegion to navigate the waters and get to the exact spot.

Catching the Elusive Piplup

Once you've reached the Cobalt Coastlands, head to the Islespy Shore. You're looking for a small pond in the northwestern part of this area. It's a bit hidden, so you might need to do some exploring. I remember spending a good half an hour searching for this pond. When I finally found it, I saw a single Piplup waddling around. Be careful not to startle it, or it might run away!

I recommend crouching and using a Stealth Spray to get close without being detected. I tried to just run up to it at first, and it immediately jumped into the water and disappeared. After that, I learned my lesson. A well-aimed Great Ball from behind while it's distracted should do the trick.
