Your Ultimate Guide to Starting Raid: Shadow Legends in 2024
Welcome to the world of Teleria! Raid: Shadow Legends is a huge game with lots to do, which can be a bit much when you're just starting out. But don't you worry, we’ve got your back. This guide will walk you through the first steps to becoming a legend.
And hey, while you’re learning to conquer Raid, remember you can earn gems and cash out for real rewards with Playstorm. Now, let's get you started!
1. Your First Big Choice: The Starter Champion
When you first start, you’ll get to pick one of four Champions. They are all great, so you can’t really make a wrong choice.
- Kael: He's a crowd favorite for a reason. He can hit multiple enemies at once and poisons them, which is super helpful for a long time.
- Athel: She is a solid choice who can hit hard and also weaken enemies, making them easier to defeat.
- Elhain: She's a powerhouse who can attack all enemies at once. Great for clearing waves of bad guys.
- Gelek: He is a bit more complex, but he can deal a ton of damage to single targets.
I remember when I first started, I chose Kael, and he carried my team for months.
2. Focus on the Campaign First
The best thing you can do at the start is to play through the Campaign. It will give you great rewards, including new Champions and gear. Your main goal is to beat all the stages on Brutal difficulty with 3 stars. This will unlock the best rewards.
3. Understand Your Champions' Roles
Not all Champions are the same. They have different roles in a team.
- Attack: These are your main damage dealers.
- Defense: These Champions can take a lot of hits and protect your team.
- HP: These are your tanks, with lots of health.
- Support: These Champions heal, boost, or protect your team.
A good team has a mix of these roles. Don’t just use all Attack Champions, or you’ll find yourself in trouble.
4. Gear is Super Important
The gear you put on your Champions is just as important as the Champions themselves. At the start, focus on getting sets of gear that give you good bonuses. A great early set is the Lifesteal set, which you can get from the Campaign. This will help your Champions stay alive by healing themselves when they do damage.
Pay attention to the main stats on your gear. For Attack Champions, you want gloves with Critical Rate or Critical Damage, a chest piece with Attack %, and boots with Speed.
5. Don't Waste Your Resources
In Raid, you’ll get a lot of different items like gems, shards, and books. Be careful how you use them.
- Gems: It’s tempting to use gems to buy things in the shop, but the best use for them early on is to unlock your Gem Mine fully and then to unlock all the Champion slots in your Sparring Pit.
- Shards: Save your powerful shards (Ancient, Void, and Sacred) for special events where you have a better chance of getting a great Champion.
- Skill Books: These are rare. Only use them on your best Champions. Don't waste them on common or uncommon characters.
6. Join a Clan
As soon as you can, join a Clan. This will give you access to Clan Boss battles, which give amazing rewards every day. It’s a huge boost to your progress.
That's it for our beginner's guide! Take your time, have fun, and you'll be a pro in no time. Remember to download Playstorm to get rewarded for your gaming time!
