How to Get Oshawott in Pokemon Legends Arceus

So, you're diving into the Hisui region and have your heart set on the adorable sea otter, Oshawott. Smart choice! Oshawott is a fantastic Water-type Pokémon that evolves into the formidable Hisuian Samurott. Getting your hands on one is pretty straightforward, and I'm here to walk you through it.
You can get Oshawott in Pokémon Legends: Arceus in two main ways. The first and most common way is by choosing it as your starter Pokémon at the very beginning of the game. If you've already started your journey and picked a different partner, don't worry! You can also find and catch Oshawott in the wild later on.
How to Get Oshawott
Choosing Oshawott as Your Starter
At the start of your adventure in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you'll be given a choice of three starter Pokémon: the Grass-type Rowlet, the Fire-type Cyndaquil, and the Water-type Oshawott. If Oshawott is the one you want, simply select it, and you're good to go! I remember when I first started playing, I had a tough time deciding. I've always been a fan of Water-types, and Oshawott's cute little shell-like "scalchop" totally won me over. I named mine "Waffles," and he was the star of my team from start to finish.
Finding Oshawott in the Wild
If you didn't choose Oshawott as your starter, you can still add one to your team. To do this, you'll need to have progressed far enough in the game to have access to the Alabaster Icelands. Within this frosty region, you'll need to look for a Space-Time Distortion. These are random, shimmering domes that pop up and are home to rare Pokémon and items.
I have to admit, finding Oshawott in a Space-Time Distortion can be a bit of a waiting game. I spent a good hour or two just wandering around the Alabaster Icelands, waiting for a distortion to appear. When one finally did, I rushed in and, after a few encounters with other Pokémon, there it was—a wild Oshawott! It was a bit of a challenge to catch, but totally worth it to complete my Pokédex.
