Here's how the costs break down for your first five builders:

• First Builder's Hut: Free
• Second Builder's Hut: 250 Gems
• Third Builder's Hut: 500 Gems
• Fourth Builder's Hut: 1,000 Gems
• Fifth Builder's Hut: 2,000 Gems

The total cost to get all five main builders is 3,750 Gems. You can earn these gems in a few ways. Clearing obstacles like trees, rocks, and bushes from your village will sometimes give you gems. Gem Boxes also appear every week or two and give you 25 gems. Completing achievements is another great way to earn gems. For example, reaching the Master League can net you 1,000 gems, and the "Sweet Victory" achievement gives you 465 gems for reaching 1,250 trophies. Don't forget to participate in Clan Capital raids each weekend, as these can also reward you with gems.

I remember the grind for my fourth builder. It felt like forever, and I was so tempted to spend my gems on speeding up troop training or finishing upgrades instantly. But I stuck with it, clearing every tree and bush, and pushing my trophies higher. When I finally saved up enough gems and saw that new builder's hut appear, it was such a relief! My base started growing so much faster after that.

Unlocking the Sixth Builder: B.O.B

Beyond the initial five, Clash of Clans offers a special sixth builder named B.O.B. (previously known as the Master Builder or O.T.T.O). This builder is unique because you unlock him through your Builder Base, not your Home Village directly. Getting B.O.B is a bigger challenge and takes more time, as it involves leveling up your Builder Base to a high level and completing several tasks.

To bring B.O.B to your Home Village, you first need to reach Builder Hall level 9. Once you're there, you'll build something called the B.O.B Control. This building then gives you four specific tasks you must finish to unlock B.O.B:

1. Gear Up Three Buildings in Your Home Village: You need to upgrade the Cannon, Archer Tower, and Mortar in your Home Village to their geared-up versions. This requires your Town Hall to be level 10 and specific Builder Base defenses to be at certain levels (Level 4 Double Cannon, Level 6 Archer Tower, and Level 8 Multi-Mortar).

2. Upgrade Any Builder Base Troop to Level 18: Pick one of your favorite Builder Base troops and power it up all the way to level 18.

3. Upgrade Any Builder Base Defense to Level 9: Choose any defense in your Builder Base and upgrade it to level 9.

4. Upgrade Builder Base Heroes to a Total Combined Level of 45: This means combining the levels of your Battle Machine and Battle Copter until their total levels add up to 45.

The journey to unlock B.O.B was probably my longest grind in Clash of Clans. I focused on rushing my Builder Hall to level 9 and then putting all my resources into the specific upgrades needed.
