Who is the Best Healer in Genshin Impact?

In Genshin Impact, keeping your team alive is super important, especially when facing tough enemies or trying to clear tricky Spiral Abyss floors. A good healer can be the difference between victory and defeat. While many characters can offer some form of healing, the "best" healer often depends on your team, playstyle, and what other benefits they bring.
The short answer is that Xianyun, Sangonomiya Kokomi, and Bennett are frequently considered among the top healers in Genshin Impact, each bringing powerful healing and unique support to different team setups.
Let's dive into who stands out and why.
Top Healers in Teyvat
Xianyun (Cloud Retainer)
Since her release in Version 4.4, Xianyun has become a top-tier healer. Her Elemental Burst, "Stars Gather at Dusk," heals your entire party and moves with your active character, meaning you get continuous healing no matter where you go in battle. This makes her incredibly flexible. Plus, as an Anemo character, she can use the Viridescent Venerer artifact set to lower enemy elemental resistances, boosting your team's damage. I remember trying to clear a Hydro Abyss Herald chamber, and my team kept getting swarmed. Once I brought in Xianyun, her mobile healing field made it so much easier to stay topped up while still swirling elements to break shields.
Sangonomiya Kokomi
Kokomi is often called the "Queen of Healing" for a reason. Her whole kit is built around keeping your team healthy. Her Elemental Skill summons a healing jellyfish that restores HP to nearby allies, and when her Elemental Burst is active, even her normal attacks heal all party members. She has a unique bonus to healing at the cost of critical rate, making her purely a healing and Hydro application powerhouse. She’s amazing for teams that need consistent Hydro application, like those focusing on Freeze, Bloom, or Hyperbloom reactions.
Bennett
Don't let his "unlucky" adventurer title fool you; Bennett is a powerhouse. He's not just a great healer, but also one of the best attack buffers in the game. His Elemental Burst creates a field that heals your active character if their HP is low and gives a huge attack boost to anyone standing in it. This makes him perfect for teams that rely on strong attack-scaling characters. He's also a Pyro character, which is useful for elemental reactions. For a long time, Bennett was my go-to for any challenging fight because that ATK buff alone often meant the difference between barely scraping by and crushing the enemy.
Baizhu
As the first Dendro healer, Baizhu brings a lot to the table, especially for Dendro-focused teams. He provides consistent healing and also generates shields, adding extra protection. His abilities scale off his Max HP, ensuring strong healing. If you're running Bloom, Quicken, or other Dendro reaction teams, Baizhu is a fantastic choice to keep everyone healthy while enabling powerful elemental combos.
Sigewinne
A newer addition from Version 4.7, Sigewinne excels at pure healing. Her Elemental Skill creates a healing bubble that bounces between party members, restoring HP, and it has a very fast cooldown. While her other support roles might be less pronounced without specific builds, her healing output is incredibly high. If your main goal is simply to keep everyone alive with constant, strong heals, Sigewinne is an excellent choice.
Other Notable Healers
- Jean: An Anemo sword user who provides an instant party-wide heal with her Elemental Burst, which scales with her ATK. She can also cleanse debuffs and offer crowd control.
- Kuki Shinobu: An Electro sword user who heals based on her Max HP and Elemental Mastery. She shines in teams needing Electro application for reactions like Hyperbloom.
- Yaoyao: The first Dendro 4-star healer, she throws out "White Jade Radishes" that heal active characters and apply Dendro. She's easy to build and great for Dendro teams.
- Barbara: A Hydro catalyst user and often one of the first healers players get. She provides good healing scaled by her Max HP, though her Elemental Skill can apply the "Wet" status to your character, which can be risky against Cryo enemies. She's still a solid pick, especially early on. There's no single "best" healer for every situation in Genshin Impact, as each character brings unique strengths to different team compositions. Consider what your team needs most - pure healing, buffs, elemental reactions, or crowd control - to pick the perfect one.
