Riolu is a fan-favorite Pokémon, and for good reason! This fighting-type pup eventually evolves into the powerful Lucario. If you're playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you're probably wondering where you can get your hands on one. You can find Riolu in the Alabaster Icelands, specifically in the Icebound Falls and Snowfall Hot Spring areas.

Where to find Riolu

Getting to the Alabaster Icelands is a late-game event, so you won't be able to catch Riolu right away. You’ll need to have progressed far enough in the story to have access to this snowy region. Once you're there, head over to the Icebound Falls or the Snowfall Hot Spring. I remember my first time searching for Riolu. I spent ages running around the Icebound Falls with no luck. I was about to give up when I saw a tiny blue figure in the distance. It was so small, I almost missed it!

Once you spot a Riolu, be careful not to scare it away. They are a bit skittish. I recommend crouching and using a Stealth Spray to get close. Once you're in range, throw a Great Ball or an Ultra Ball to increase your chances of catching it. It took me a few tries, but I finally caught one.

After catching my Riolu, I couldn't wait to evolve it into Lucario. I made sure to use it in battles to increase our friendship level. Once our friendship was high enough, I evolved it during the daytime, and I finally had my very own Lucario!
