What Gear for What Champion in Raid Shadow Legends?

Gearing in Raid: Shadow Legends can be a real headache, especially when you're just starting. With so many different gear sets and stats to choose from, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. But don't worry, we're here to help you figure out the best gear for your champions.
The most important thing to remember is that stats are more important than sets. It's better to have a champion with great stats from a mix of different gear sets than a champion with a complete set bonus but mediocre stats.
Here's a breakdown of what gear to use for what champion in Raid: Shadow Legends:
Lifesteal Gear is Your Best Friend
When you're first starting, the Lifesteal gear you get from the campaign is your best friend. This set heals your champion for 30% of the damage they deal. Slap this on your starting champion (Kael, Galek, Elhain, or Athel) and they'll be able to clear campaign stages much more easily.
I remember when I first started playing, I was struggling to get past the early campaign stages. I was just throwing any gear I could find on my champions. But once I equipped my Kael with a full Lifesteal set, he turned into a farming machine. I was able to clear stages I was stuck on for days.
Speed is King
Speed is one of the most important stats in the game. The faster your champion is, the more turns they get. And the more turns they get, the more damage they can deal and the more skills they can use.
A good rule of thumb is to have speed boots on almost all of your champions. The only exception to this is if you can get high speed from substats on your other gear.
What Stats Should I Focus On?
The stats you should focus on depend on the type of champion you're gearing. Here's a general guide:
- Attack Champions: These champions are your main damage dealers. You'll want to focus on Attack %, Critical Rate, and Critical Damage.
- Defense Champions: These champions are your tanks. You'll want to focus on Defense % and HP %.
- HP Champions: These champions are also tanks, but they rely on high health pools to survive. You'll want to focus on HP %.
- Support Champions: These champions are your healers and buffers. You'll want to focus on Speed, HP %, and Defense %. For champions that place debuffs, you'll also want to focus on Accuracy.
I made the mistake of not paying attention to stats when I was new. I had a great Attack champion, but I had gear with flat HP and Defense stats on him. He was hitting like a wet noodle. It wasn't until I re-geared him with Attack %, Critical Rate, and Critical Damage that he started to shine.
Don't Worry About Sets (At First)
Like we said before, stats are more important than sets. Don't worry about completing sets when you're just starting. Focus on getting the right stats on your champions. Once you have a good collection of gear, you can start to worry about set bonuses.
