How to Delete Call of Duty Mobile Account

Deciding to delete your Call of Duty: Mobile account is a big step. Maybe you're looking to free up some time, or perhaps you just want a fresh start. I remember when I decided to delete my account; I had spent countless hours grinding for camos and ranking up, but I knew it was time for a break to focus on other things.
To delete your Call of Duty: Mobile account, you first need to unlink any connected social media accounts like Facebook. After that, you must go to Activision's official Privacy Portal to submit a formal account deletion request. Be aware that this process is permanent and you will lose all your progress and purchases.
First Things First: Unlink Your Social Accounts
Before you can say goodbye to your account for good, you need to cut its ties to your other profiles. For most of us, that means unlinking it from Facebook, Apple, or Google. I found this to be the easiest part. I simply went into my Facebook settings, found the "Apps and Websites" section, and removed Call of Duty: Mobile from the list.
Here’s how you can generally do it:
1. Open the Call of Duty: Mobile app.
2. Go to the "Settings" menu.
3. Look for the "Account & Privacy" or a similar section.
4. At the top right, you'll see icons for any linked networks (like Facebook).
5. Tap the icon and follow the prompts to unlink the account.
Doing this ensures that your game data isn't still tied to your personal social media, which is a clean way to start the deletion process.
Submitting the Official Deletion Request
Once you've unlinked your accounts, it's time for the main event. You can't actually delete your account from within the game itself. Instead, you have to go through Activision's official website.
I had to head over to Activision's dedicated Privacy Portal to make my request. It sounds super official, but it's a pretty straightforward online form. You'll need to provide some information to verify that you're the real owner of the account, like your email address and Player ID. It took a few weeks for the process to complete, but they kept me updated via email. My advice is to be patient, as it doesn't happen instantly.
What You Lose When You Delete Your Account
This is the part that made me pause for a second. Deleting your account is permanent. There’s no going back. You will lose everything:
- All your character and weapon skins. I had to say a final goodbye to my beloved DR-H legendary skin.
- Your rank and all progression.
- Your friends list.
- Any remaining CoD Points (CP) or Credits.
I had to weigh whether the hundreds of hours I put in were worth holding onto an account I no longer used. For me, the answer was no, but make sure you are 100% certain before you click that final confirmation button. It's a true clean slate.
If you're deleting your CoD: Mobile account because you're ready to try something new, why not get rewarded for it? After I moved on, I started exploring other mobile games. If you find a new game and want to make some in-app purchases without spending your own money, consider using Playstorm. You can play fun games, earn gems, and redeem them for Google Play or Apple App Store gift cards.
